August Bee

We arrived at the Albert street garden and some lovely person had left some seedlings for us to plant. Thank you!

We came in all shapes and sizes, some of us had a new sister born this week. Exciting!

And some of us a new daughter, while some are still hanging on the verge of giving birth...

We came from near, we came from far, some by bike, some by car.

We dug the soil and expanded the beds...

We brought tea and beanies to warm our cockles and our heads.

We lit a fire and dug and dug

Some stood around to spin and tug

And some brave gals with miles of smiles

watched on as turf went from bed to pile...

while a happy mandolin accompanied our efforts. Thanks Tom!
